LaRa-Home is an AI-powered design assistant developed to support architects in navigating one of the most time-consuming aspects of their work building code compliance. Our goal is simple: help architects focus on what they do best designing while we take care of the regulations.

We are a team of engineers and designers based in New York, currently pursuing our graduate degrees at New York University and Pratt Institute. Living in a city celebrated for its architectural innovation, we became increasingly curious about the daily challenges architects face. To understand the landscape, we conducted extensive research, interviewing professionals, engaging with design faculty, visiting firms, and attending industry events. Across all our conversations, one problem emerged consistently: building codes are hard to manage and even harder to get right. Every design iteration must be reviewed for compliance, and delays due to revisions or code violations are not only frustrating, they’re costly. This bottleneck restricts creativity, drains time, and creates friction between vision and execution.
